What is First Class Homeschool Ministries?

get connected!

FCHM is working with parents and pastors to establish an international network of homeschool cooperatives.  We are praying for homeschool co-ops to become a "staple" of church ministry.

Once you become part of the FCHM network of co-ops, you will find support, encouragement, resources and new friendships with other people who are working with homeschoolers just like you!

"Thank you for your ministry!  As soon as we we joined, we received our passwords, met other co-op leaders and immediately felt a sense of relief!
Suddenly, we were not alone!  Thank you for your efforts on behalf of homeschoolers everywhere!"

Our Vision
Building a network of homeschool communities around the world.

Our Mission
We desire to be a resource center where members can find practical and spiritual information to assist them in their commitment to homeschooling.

Our Core Values

  • Evangelistic in nature
It is our belief that FCHM co-ops should function much like the local church; and therefore we do not require that members are Christians.  Co-ops provide a wonderful opportunity for families to share the love of Christ with those around them!  FCHM is a Christian ministry and as such we require that parents who teach, and co-op leadership sign the FCHM Statement of Faith (see below).
  • Collaborative in style
First Class co-ops do not compete with each other - we share what we have!  This includes new ideas, forms and things that work (or don't work) in our co-ops!  In this way we foster relationships and grow together.
  • Generous in spirit
FCHM never turns any family away for financial reasons.  For this reason, we are a support-driven ministry.  See how you can help support the scholarship fund of FCHM.
  • Exemplary in stewardship
We believe that it honors the Lord when we leave the facilities we use in better shape than we find them in.  Each class day ends with students and parents working together to clean up the church or facility we use.

FCHM Statement of Faith

  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
  • God has existed from all eternity in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
  • Jesus was God and came in human flesh, being fully God and fully man, except without sin. (John 1:1-2, 14)
  • All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act. (Romans 3:23 and 5:12)
  • The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent bodily resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:3)
  • Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. (Acts 13:38-39; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
