FC3E YOUTH CONNECTION (this page is under construction, so check back frequently)
Who are we?
The home schooled jr/high school youth program is a unique and distinctive social setting. We envision a program that is Christ-centered and offers help, support, educational opportunities, sports and social events for youth (7-12th grades) and their parents.
Who's in charge?
Heather Johnson is our parent leader in charge. While she is the one who ultimately makes things happen, events only get scheduled with a team of parents supporting them. You are welcome to contact her with questions or ideas.
What kinds of things do we do?
The list of possibilities is endless. So far we have scheduled several exciting events for the summer like capture the flag, hiking, free movie day and a September Meet and Greet social. Right now the parents are planning the activities, but we hope to develop a student council where the youth have input in the planning process.
Will there be chaperones?
Yes, each event will be chaperoned by parents.
Are there any special rules we should be aware of?
Yes. At the bottom of this page is a copy of the dress and conduct guidelines that we ask each participating youth and their parents to read and sign.
Can we bring guests to events?
Yes, but keep in mind that we are a homeschool support group and your guests should be fellow homeschoolers, grades 7-12. You are also responsible for sharing the Dress and Conduct Guidelines with your guests, BEFORE inviting them to an event.
Upcoming Events:
Coming Soon: Bunco Party!!!

GENERAL DRESS & CONDUCT GUIDELINES:
The Christian homeschool support group is a unique and distinctive social setting. We believe that a Christian's appearance and conduct is a demonstrative part of his or her testimony, should reflect Biblical standards, and should at all times be pleasing to God and uncompromising of our Christian values. How an individual behaves and dresses also reflects the philosophy and standards of the group it represents. We wish to convey through our membership a message of obedience to God's Word. I Corinthians 10:31-33 states:
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God--even as I try to please everyboy in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved."
Therefore, it is in this spirit that we ask all members and their guests at sponsored events to abide by the following established quidelines.
In all that we do, we desire to develop and maintain a reputation that encourages attendance at our events as well as an environment where everyone feels loved and accepted. Please take the time to read and sign the following established guidelines:
Modesty is extremely important: Tops should cover the midriff. Sheer, low cut or strapless dresses and tops are not acceptable, nor are spaghetti straps or backless tops. Sleeveless tops must cover the bra straps. No short skirts, dresses or shorts. Undergarments should be covered at all times. Shirts should not have inappropriate slogans, words or pictures. No public displays of affection. Alcohol and/or drug use will not be tolerated. There will be no warnings issued, immediate suspension from group activities will occur. We should strive to build up and encourage one another in our conversations. Name calling, mocking, or making fun of another's opinion does not edify others. While teasing may begin in fun, it can turn quickly or unintentionally into an offense. We need to respect the facilities we are allowed to use and leave them in better condition than when we arrived. Please ASK what you can to do to help clean up after an event is finished. Please honor and respect those in authority at events. This includes parents/chaperones and employees at businesses or organizations.
For any of the above offending behavior or actions the following consequences are set forth: For the first offense, a verbal reminder will be issued. The second time an offense is committed, the person or persons will be asked to leave. A parent will be notified and asked to return to the event to pick up the child.
