Sandpoint, ID Welcome to First Class Sandpoint! A Ministry to Homeschooling Families at the Sandpoint Assembly of God Welcome to First Class - Sandpoint! We are a local charter of First Class Homeschool Ministries, sponsored by the Sandpoint Assembly of God. We offer an affordable, one-day-a-week cooperative school for families who have made the commitment to home educate their children. It is not our desire to take the place of your homeschool, but to complement it. We want to build community among homeschool families and encourage each other along the way. We believe that by working together, we can learn new skills or techniques that can be used at home. Our kids will make new friends and so will we. We have an excellent offering of classes for homeschool students in kindergarten thru high school. In addition, we offer nursery, toddler and preschool programs for families whose student are enrolled in First Class - Sandpoint, allowing parents to teach the older children knowing their little ones are being cared for. First Class - Sandpoint offers two semesters per school year -- one in the fall and another in the spring. Each semester runs for 10 weeks with a break in between to give you time to enjoy the holidays and return to your family's routine. Just when you are ready for a little activity again, our next semester will begin! Your FCHM membership is a full year long and so is your local membership. The only fees you will incur in the spring are those set by the individual teachers for materials. Newcomers are welcome each new semester once they become members of FCHM. If you want to be on our mailing list, send an email to Susan Young, younsm@gmail.com, and we will remind you before a new semester begins. The annual fee to join depends on the option you choose: $22 to apply online with your credit or debit card and automatic renewal; $24 to apply online for the coming school year, or $27 to fill out and mail an application and a check. The cost to join the Sandpoint Co-op will be an additional $20 per family for the entire school year. Class fees are determined by the teachers, starting at $3 per class, per student for the entire semester. Some classes will require a materials fee.
